NASBLA offers Boating Under the Influence Detection and Enforcement training
through grant and tuition-based courses. The 24-hour course covers: planning BUI
enforcement, arrest decisions, BUI suspect processing, arrest report essential elements, note taking,
report writing, pre-trail conference, presentation of evidence, and proper administration of seated and standing
standardized field sobriety test batteries, including recognition of indicators and clues for both batteries.
The course also includes a live alcohol workshop.
